Cyberimage in the Community
Small Medium Enterprise
(SME) Convention
6-8 November 1998
Queen Sirikit National Convention Center
Cyberimage
was one of 13 small to medium size companies in Thailand selected
to share their success stories at the SME Convention. Each company
represented excellence in different fields such as agriculture, fashion,
handicrafts, food products, technology and advertising. The 3-day
event included speeches by Thailand's prominent businessmen like Thaksin
Shinawatra and Fly Now's Somchai Songwatana. Exibitions of Thai products
and creative efforts were on display
in the main hall. Visitors to the show were encouraged to visit the
many booths and talk with its founders to gain insight about the trials
and tribulations of starting and running an SME company in Thailand.
SchoolNet
March 1996
National Electronics and Computer Technology Center
Cyberimage
was involved in SchoolNet, a government-supported project to provide
Internet access and education to secondary schools nationwide. Other
SchoolNet partners included Microsoft, Compaq, Intel, and Powell Computer.
While most of the sponsors supplied Internet hardware and software,
Cyberimage took on the task of teaching over 100 secondary school
teachers the process of developing a web site. The 2-day course included
instruction on how to prepare a flow chart and organize information,
basic HTML programming and image preparation. Cyberimage is proud
to have been a part of SchoolNet because we truly believe that to
ensure Thailand's future in the IT industry, we have to start with
the children of today.
